Wrong Way Day Lyrics

As you may know, I'm currently writing and recording a demo EP for my musical project Wrong Way Day, which will be available late summer/early autumn. I consider my lyrics to be poetry, though they are a bit different from the poems you'll find in my other releases.

I wanted to share some of the preliminary lyrics because I am very proud of them. Some of them will change, I know for certain that some of the songs will be given new verses and some are incomplete. But as it stands, here are some lyrics!

Fairytale

Once upon a time there was an angry man
Who I believe lived beneath a falling sky
And lived beneath an apple tree
A fairytale and I am falling
Only to hear a good complaint
A fool, good god, and I am calling
"Fuck it up" and be a saint

I had an urge to drown the Baker
Kick the Witch down from her broom
Slay the Dragon with a toaster
Hungry men will falter soon
Dig for fairytale romance but oh, there is a curse in place

Forgotten

There is a place inside my chest where a sun beats
In place of my heart
